Notes On: Package Films

In retrospect, package features seem like a cheap cop out to making actual movies. The fact is that, unfortunately, a cash and personnel strapped studio may only have that option just to stay afloat.

The 40s were not very kind to the Disney Studio: World War II, labor strikes, and the post-war world left it and many other studios in very poor shape. Sure the government contracts kept the lights on, but what happened after those prolific but unprofitable projects ended?
